'REUNION' is the story of six friends who gather a few days before their ten-year high school reunion. Tom and Rose Newman were high school sweat hearts. They got married immediately after college and made their lives in the small hometown that they grew up in. Jacob and Elizabeth Barret were the most popular kids in school. Elizabeth was the homecoming queen while Jacob was the 'big man on campus.' After college they married and moved to New York City where Jacob works at a lucrative job on Wall Street and Elizabeth lives as a NYC socialite. Hannah Johnson was the quiet, loner. After high school she pursued a career as a folk singer, teaching music during the day and playing in coffee shops at night. And the athletic Neil Ziske was the basketball superstar who turned to God and was 'born again,' and now lives a simple life pedaling around San Francisco as a rickshaw driver and spreading the word of the lord.

As soon as everyone arrives, they take a trip to the beach. Jacob and Elizabeth's miserable relationship surfaces. Jacob makes a pass at Hannah, but is cut short when Rose interrupts them. Elizabeth and Tom find themselves alone in a secluded spot, and they end up having sex on the beach. Although content in his marriage, Tom always fantasized about Elizabeth. She's still very beautiful and Tom thinks she will fulfill all of his teenage longings and shortcomings.

Later that night, Jacob continues his sexual advances, only this time on Rose. Jacob, unknown to Tom, slept with Rose in high school. Although a one night stand to Jacob, Rose always felt like she settled for second best in marrying Tom. She suppressed her secret even to herself, but when Jacob makes a pass at her, she throws herself at him.

Overwrought with guilt, Tom admits to Rose that he slept with Elizabeth on the beach. Rose runs to Jacob, convinced that she and Jacob will now leave together as a couple, and go to New York City together. But Jacob simply needed to satiate his enormous ego and abundant insecurities. He has no interest in Rose.

Hannah and Neil put their philosophies to work in trying to counsel Tom. Neil tries to get Tom to accept Jesus Christ as his savor and be 'born again.' But Hannah, a complete atheist, urges him to address the problem head on, without the benefit of God.

Devastated and alone, Rose tells Tom that she made a horrible mistake and that she wants to stay together. Stunned, Tom agrees and they begin to prepare for the reunion. But when Rose mentions that she thinks that Tom should take Jacob's job offer so that they can move to New York City, Tom realizes that Rose simply settled for him. She neither valued nor appreciated the sacrifices and choices they've made. Everything he's done since high school, he's done for Rose, but Rose never really wanted any of it.

Tom realizes he must figure out what he wants to do with his life on his own and he leaves by himself.
